Nuance Communications to acquire Focus Infomatics
Nuance Communications has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Focus Infomatics, a healthcare speech recognition and editing services company. The all-cash buy is worth $58 million. US based Focus Informatics has 2,000 employees in India across centres in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore. The acquisition has been approved by the boards of directors of both companies and is expected to close by March 31.
