Synthes Honours Dr.Parthiban
Senior Consultant Neuro and Spine surgeon of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital J.K.B.C. Parthiban has been recognised as one of the leading spine surgeons in the country by Synthes and Association for the Study of Osteosynthesis Foundation during the recent India Spine Vision 2007 - Virtuoso Roundtable at New Delhi.A release from the hospital has said that in this meet, the key visionaries in the Indian spine fraternity participated in brainstorming sessions on the development of Indian spine surgery.
Dr. Parthiban was invited to discuss trends in the future in spine surgery. During this meet, he emphasised spinal surgery training for young orthopaedic and neurosurgeons under specialists in the field.
He also said spinal surgery should evolve into a speciality. The honour was presented by H. Michael Meyer, Professor of Neurosurgery at the Salzburg Medical School and medical director of the Head and Spine Centre at the Ortho Centre, Munich in Germany.
