Amway office in Ooty
Direct seller Amway India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Amway Corp, USA, has announced that it will expand its infrastructure in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu by adding several new offices.Announcing several initiatives on the occasion of its 9th anniversary, MD and CEO of Amway India William S Pinckney said that Karnataka was one of the top five states for Amway in the country. The company will add three new offices in Karnataka, apart from the existing six offices in Bangalore, Mangalore, Hubli, Bellary, Mysore and Belgaum.
In Tamil Nadu, six new offices will be opened in Kancheepuram, Ooty, Tirunelveli, Trichy, Nagercoil and Villupuram. Amway has offices in Chennai, Salem, Erode, Madurai, Coimbatore, Vellore, Kumbakonam and Thanjavur. On the product front, Amway will add six new products. “The year will also mark the company's foray into colour cosmetics, which will be sold under the brand name of Attitude,” Pinckney added. Last year Amway India recorded a turnover of Rs 738 crore and is targeting Rs 1,000 crore in 2007. Amway's operations are spread over 120 offices in India catering to over 3,000 locations in the country. The company plans to expand its operations to 175 towns and cities by the end of this year.
