Draft photo votter rolls will be published today
District Collector Neeraj Mittal has announced that draft photo voter rolls in respect of all the assembly segments in the district will be published on May 25.The draft rolls would be on display at the offices of electoral roll registration officers such as Corporation commissioner, Pollachi sub-collector, Coimbatore and Tirupur revenue divisional officers, tahsildars, assistant commissioners of Corporation, municipal commissioners and at the designated polling stations and post offices.Public could verify the draft rolls and intimate claims and objections if any on or before June 11.
They could file form numbers six, seven, eight and eight A for inclusion, deletion, amendments and for change of address within the same assembly segment respectively with form number 001A for all the forms. The forms should be in duplicate copies and stamp size photos should be affixed and the same could be submitted to the respective officers.
Persons who were 18 years of age as on January 1, 2007 (i.e., those born on or before December 31, 1988) could get their names included in the draft rolls by submitting form six and 001A. Along with form numbers six and eight A, the applicant should provide their photographs and the forms should have their signature. Their applications should attach documentary proof for their date of birth and address. Those seeking inclusion of names in the new address should mention their old address as well.Those having voter ID card should mention the number in their forms.These forms would be verified before June 21. Supplementary rolls would be published before July 2 and the final rolls on July 11.
