Jayamohan from Coimbatore reced award from CM
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi today presented cash awards and scholarships to toppers in the Plus Two examinations who studied Tamil as a subject.Congratulating the meritorious students who called on him at the Secretariat here, the Chief Minister also distributed scholarship certificates to them to pursue higher education.S Ramya, a student of the DAV Higher Secondary School in the city, received a cash award of Rs 15,000 for having secured first rank with a score of 1,182 out of 1,200.D Rupika of the same school received Rs 12,000 for having stood second at the state-level.Four others - V Jayamohan from Coimbatore, S Nivedita and M Ilavarasan from Namakkal district and Keerthana from Rasipuarm - received a cash award of Rs 10,000 each for securing third place.The students and their parents thanked the Chief Minister for the recognition, an official press release here said.
