Stray dog's trouble in the city

Nearly a dozen goats were killed by stray dogs in the city today.Eleven goats, with bleeding injuries and teeth marks on them, were found dead in CMC Colony off Variety Hall Road this morning, police said. The goats were reared by some workers in the colony, who complained to the ward councillor that the animals were killed by stray dogs, which were moving in the area in large numbers. It may be recalled that two boys were killed by stray dogs in Selvapuram in the city some months ago.Despite assurances by the city corporation to put an end to the stray dog menace, the population of dogs seems to be increasing.
