Kongunadu Arts and Science College in Coimbatore will be the venue for a four-day Indo-US workshop on `vermitechnology in human welfare' to be held between June 4 and 7. Scientists and experts in vermi-technology from countries including the US, China and Philippines are expected to participate in the workshop which will focus on evolving scenario in vermiculture and its application/business opportunities, according to a press release from Dr M Aruchami, Secretary and Director of the college. The workshop sessions would cover issues relating to vermiculture practices/strategies in areas like agriculture, solid waste management, medicine, women employment and rural development.
