Computer expo
A computer expo organised by the Coimbatore Information Technology Association is on at the Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre. The expo brings together dealers and vendors in the Information Technology sector including companies such as Hewlett Packard, Canon, LG and Creative.It also provides an insight into the advances taking place in the Information Technology scenario. It has low-cost Personal Computers (PC) for students, low-cost laptops and various finance schemes. It also has desktops, laptops, data recovery software, UPS, projectors, scanners, printers and gaming. It also includes a job fair for students who have completed their education. Live demonstration of a wireless PC home digital media by LG will be held on June 3. The entire expo is wireless and visitors who go with laptops can browse Internet.The 15th National Symposium on Environment will be held at Bharathiar University from June 5 to 7.According to a release, the theme for the programme is "Mitigation of Pollutants for Clean Environment". S.K. Jain, Chairman and Managing Director of Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited will inaugurate it.
