UG courses admission criteria revised @ TNAU
The eligibility criteria for admission to undergraduate courses for Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has been revised.According to a university release issued here, the eligibility for open competition and backward class will be 60 per cent aggregate in physics, chemistry, mathematics, or botany or biology, and one elective as fourth subject.For most backward class category, the aggregate will be 55 per cent.For scheduled caste and scheduled tribe candidates, a pass in Plus Two is sufficient.
The elective subjects can be biology, mathematics, computer science, statistics, microbiology, biochemistry, biotechnology, home science, nursing or nutritional dietetics.Seats are also available under the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and industrial sponsorship quota.Applications are issued at the university and its constituent colleges for Rs. 600.Scheduled class and scheduled tribe candidates can get the applications for Rs. 300.According to the release, the last date for submission of filled in forms will be June 15.Applications can be downloaded from www.tnau.ac.in.For further details those interested can contact telephone numbers 0422-6611210/ 6611479.
