Free counselling session for Civil Services
A one-day free counselling session for Civil Services aspirants of the Bharathiar University will be held at PSG College of Arts and Science on July 21 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.According to a release from M.F. Khan, Honorary Director, Anna IAS Academy, Chennai, the counselling will be inaugurated by I. Anwardeen, District Forest Officer. Vice-Chancellor of Bharathiar University G. Thiruvasagam, and Secretary of PSG College of Arts and Science B. Sampath Kumar will be the guests of honour.Experts will be resource persons and offer guidance and tips on writing the examinations and facing the interview board.
Successful candidates from the university will share their experiences with the aspirants. The counselling will also address the choice of optional subjects to be selected by candidates.The Anna IAS Academy will also felicitate candidates who have been successful in the Civil Services examinations.Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will organise a two-day training on “Value Addition and Processing of Amla” at its Post-Harvest Technology Centre here on July 25 and 26.According to a university release, the training will include exposure to state-of-the-art food processing equipment, like pulper, blancher, homogeniser, pasteuriser, packaging machines, etc. It will be conducted at the modern food processing business incubator of the centre.
The training fee will be Rs. 1,000. Expenditure for food and accommodation should be borne by the participants. Those interested in attending the training can register their names before July 24 with the Professor and Head, Post Harvest Technology Centre, TNAU, Coimbatore – 641003; or call 0422-6611268. Only 20 candidates will be selected.
