Nair Service Society (NSS) of Coimbatore will organise a free medical camp on July 8 at the CMS Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ganapathy.The organisation has also launched a Coimbatore NSS Medical Foundation, K.G.S.Pillai, president of the NSS, told press persons here on Friday. The camp would be organised in association with various hospitals in the city. More than 40 doctors including cardiologists, pulmonologists and cardio-thoracic specialists are expected to participate. Free medicines would be distributed to patients. Deserving would also be given financial assistance to continue treatment. More camps would be organised on a regular basis as part of the organisation’s community service activities, Mr.Pillai added.The camp would be inaugurated by Mayor, R.Venkatachalam. Dr.V.Kumaran, Dean in Charge, Coimbatore Medical College Hospital, would be the chief guest. Cultural programmes for school students would also be conducted on the same day.
