International meet on HR management
A five-day international conference on Strategic Human Resource Management in Global Economy would be held here from July 29.The conference would be a platform to disseminate and share scholarly views on the broad theme of Strategic HR Management, with specific reference to functional areas of international human resource management, including acquisition, development and maintenance.It would include a faculty development programme to provide an opportunity for attendees to interact with executives from leading business in the region including visit to traditional and emerging industries, a release from PSG Institute of Management, the organisers, said here today.This would also be a forum to inaugurate the journal 'International Human Resource Management Review', which would act as a forum for the dissemination of theoretical and empirical research on the management of human resources in an International economy, it said.The conference and the journal are a collaborative effort by the Centre for International HRM at the Institute and Diego State University and the University of Colorado, Denver.The faculty development programme would discuss emerging trends, their impacts on HR practice and research, and on the teaching of International HR management.
