Police announcement on fire cracker shop licence
The City Police Commissioner, C.K. Gandhirajan, has announced that people desirous of opening fire cracker shops for the ensuing Deepavali festival on November 8 in Coimbatore City, including Podanur and Kuniamuthur police limits should send in their applications seeking licence on or before August 10.
The applications should reach the city police office on or before 5 p.m. on August 10.The application should be in form four affixing court fee stamp for Rs. 2, fee remittance challan for Rs. 150, sketch plan of the place of stock and business in six copies, property tax receipt for the building, if the premises were to be rented the applicant should furnish a consent letter of the owner of the building, recorded in stamp paper with two witnesses with address, in case of buildings belonging to Corporation or other departments consent letter of the department concerned, fee remittance receipt for licence from the corporation and local body.As per the instructions of the department of explosives, roadside shops would not be permitted. No further extension of time would be granted, police said.
