Stall booking started for Agri fair
The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association on Monday commenced the stall booking for the agricultural fair that it conducts every year (Agri Intex) here.The association president, C. Muthusami, said the exhibition would have nearly 300 stalls this year. The theme for the event would be “grow with group farming.” The fair would be conducted from November 22 to 26 in association with the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.With the shortage in agricultural labour, it would showcase a number of semi-mechanised farm equipment that would help the farmers at the field level. A number of Government agencies were also expected to take part and they would showcase projects on value-addition to agricultural produce. aim of the eighth edition of the exhibition was to educate the farmers on advancements in agricultural and allied activities. As a concurrent event, seminars would be organised on value addition, renewable energy, food processing and farm mechanisation.Over 1.5 lakh visitors were expected to visit the exhibition that would be held at the CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex here, he said.
