In his address, G Narayanamoorthy said that the bank is giving thrust to educational loans wherein the students could get loans upto Rs 7.50 lakh and upto Rs 15 lakh for pursuing their higher studies in inland and abroad. The bank has so far disbursed Rs 16.86 crore as educational loans ot 1582 students.Besides, the bank also helps educational institutions to develop their infrastructure. In all. the bank has extended Rs 45 crore as loans to 75 educational institutions.For small and medium enterprises, he said that the bank has introduced the 'TMB SME' scheme to help entreprenuers in small scale sector to develop their business.On branch expansion, he said that the bank would open 11 more branches in Tamilnadu, one each in Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh by November end.Others who were present on the occasion included S Selvan Rajadurai, deputy general manager, and Coimbatore regional manager S Kandavelu.
