Tight security for Aug-1st
As the pronouncement of verdict in the sensational 1998 serial blast cases begins from August 1, tight security cover would be in place in and around the city from that day, police sources said.Measures would be taken to prevent any untoward incident and to ensure normal life after the judgements were pronounced, police sources said.Besides, a two-tier security would be in place for the designated court, which tried the cases. A bomb detection and disposal squad, sniffer dogs and armed reserve police keeping tight vigil would be part of this two-tier security, sources told PTI.The series of blasts on Feb 14, during the visit of BJP leader L K Advani had claimed 58 lives and left more than 250 injured.
