Aids to visual impairment persons
The Department of Social Work of Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College, Pollachi, distributed aids to people with visual impairment.The distribution was done in connection with the Helen Keller’s Day celebration.Six persons with visual impairment were felicitated.These six belonged to the music group, “Thendral”.The function was organised to impart awareness among school students about the achievements of Hellen Keller, who had visual and hearing impairment.The accomplishments of Hellen Keller and her grit and courage to achieve her goals in spite of the many setbacks she faced, were highlighted during the event.The six visually impaired persons were given foldable mobility sticks.
