Collector invited application of rural girls who need financial help
District Collector Neeraj Mittal has invited applications from girl students in rural areas who need financial assistance to continue their education.According to an official release, the assistance will be provided to girls belonging to the Most Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.Those from Standard III to V will get an assistance of Rs. 500 and those in Standard VI will get Rs.1,000 a year.
The students will be required to open a postal savings account in their mother’s name in which the amount will be deposited.The release said that only those students whose parents’ annual income did not exceed Rs. 25,000 could apply for assistance. Children of widows or destitutes could also apply.The applications should be forwarded by their schools (Government or Government aided).
