Parasailing show at Kumaraguru College of Technology
A parasailing show organised at the Kumaraguru College of Technology.Members of the National Adventure Foundation, Coimbatore chapter, along with the staff and students of the Kumaraguru College of Technology organised a parasailing air adventure show on the college premises at Chinnavedampatti on Friday.The foundation president, Shyamala Jaishankar, and Aeronautical Engineering Department led by Prof. K. Venkata Rao participated in the maiden demonstration of air adventure.K. Janardhanan, Deputy General Manager of Coimbatore Airport inaugurated the event. The demonstration was done by using ascending parachute raised to a height of 30 to 40 ft towed against the wind.The demonstration marked the inauguration of the Aeronautical Students Rendezvous Association by S. Vathsal, scientist and a Director of Defence Research and Development Organisation, New Delhi.Josephs V Thanikal, principal of the Kumaraguru College of Technology; K. Arumugam, its Correspondent; and A. Selvakumar, Joint Correspondent; participated in the programmes. The second year students of Aeronautical Engineering presented two lively defence-related project proposals.
