IT major, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and City-based PSG College of Technology on Sunday joined hands to nurture Research and Development. An MOU between these organisations was signed this afternoon, by which the college would institute a research program under the title 'TCS-Sponsored Research Program,' S Padmanabhan, Executive Vice-president, TCS, said in a press release here. Under the program, scholars would pursue their research interests with financial support of TCS and do research work at the college. The work programme would be jointly monitored by the college faculty and TCS technical experts, he said. The program was primarily focus on bringing in like-minded people to do extensive research work in Computer Science and Information Technology domains to propel India further in the Global IT Arena, Padmanabhan said.
