The City Police Commissioner, C.K. Gandhirajan, has clamped regulatory orders under section 41 of the Madras City Police Act in all the 15 police stations limits. The regulatory order prohibits public assemblies, dharnas, demonstrations and processions in all the police station limits till midnight of August 28. The regulatory orders are aimed at averting breach of public peace and tranquillity by persons belonging to different social, political, religious and economic ideologies, a police press release said.
