Entrepreneurial development programme by CII
The Confederation of Indian Industry, Coimbatore Zone, has initiated an entrepreneurial development programme here.A release from the confederation said the number of youngsters opting to become entrepreneurs was coming down in the recent years and one reason could be the attractive job opportunities in other sectors such as information technology, financial services and retail.
“The number of entrepreneurs is far lower and disproportionate when compared to the number of graduates.” The programme was planned with the objective of encouraging more graduates to become entrepreneurs. As part of its industry-institute interaction programme, the CII had brought out the entrepreneurship development programme. Each institute would also nominate three students to undergo an intensive certificate course to enhance their entrepreneurial skills. The course would be completed by September 30.About 20 colleges have registered so far for this programme.
