Kikani's school golden jubilee
The valediction of the golden jubilee celebrations of the Kikani Institutions here will be held on September 2. Former trustees, retired head masters and teachers of the schools will be honoured at a function to be held in the morning on Sunday.In the evening, the golden jubilee souvenir will be released and a replica of the proposed Golden Jubilee auditorium will be unveiled. During the last one year, a number of inter-school competitions were organised.According to a release, the Kikani Matriculation Higher Secondary School is competing this year for the international school award for Indian schools given away by the British Council, India. The theme for this year for the school is “Creativity in the Classroom.”Shree Baldevdas Kikani Vidyamandir Trust (founded by Shree Coimbatore Gujarati Samaj) looked after the overall management and administration of the Kikani Higher Secondary School (aided) and the Kikani Matriculation Higher Secondary School.Shree Baldevdas Kikani Vidyamandir High School is Government aided and followed the State Board syllabus. It was upgraded into a higher secondary school in 1978.
