Syndicate Committee formed
The Governor-Chancellor of the Anna University, Coimbatore, has nominated seven members to its Syndicate as Class II Other Members.M. Arularasu, Professor of Production Engineering, Government College of Technology, S.V. Balasubramaniam, Chairman and Managing Director, Bannari Amman Sugars Limited, G. Rangaswamy, Managing Director, Chandra Textiles Limited, R. Prabhakar, Principal, Coimbatore Institute of Technology, R. Murugesan, Chairman, Ranganathan Rajeswari Charitable Trust, Ebenezar Jayakumar, Principal, Government Engineering College, Salem, and M. Karunanithi, Chairman, Angammal Educational Trust, Elayampalayam, are the nominated members, according to a university release. R. Rajendran, MLA, Panamarathupatti Constituency, Asthampatti, Salem, is the member elected by the members of the Legislative Assembly of the State.The other Class I Ex-officio members are: The Secretary to Government, in-charge of Higher Education, The Secretary to Government, in-charge of Industries, The Secretary to Government, in-charge of Information Technology, The Secretary to Government, in-charge of Law and The Director of Technical Education.Vice-Chancellor R. Radhakrishnan will be the Chairman. Registrar S. Palaniswami will be the Secretary of the Syndicate.
