Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched Location Based Services for its cellular phone subscribers in Coimbatore. A release from BSNL said that under this service, Resource Tracking and Management System was designed for corporate customers to manage and track their employees, vehicles and assets. The rental for this service would vary from Rs. 60 to a maximum of Rs. 50,000.Charges would be as follows: for a location query – 0.10 paise, for push SMS to vehicle/employee/asset from web portal – 0.30 paise.
