Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising the fifth edition of Comptex, a conference on textile industry on October 26 and 27. Organised in association with The Southern India Mills’ Association (SIMA), the meet aims to highlight the trends and opportunities in textile sector. Textile Panel, CII (Coimbatore) convenor SK Sundararaman said: “We plan to showcase the scope for leveraging competencies, brand equities and capital base to catapult the companies of our region to bigger league.” Pointing out that the rupee appreciation has put Indian exporters at an unfavourable position, he said that the event has a specific sessions on funding and finance to address these issues.
