The members of the Coimbatore Bar Association have decided to boycott courts on October 22 to express solidarity with the Tirupur advocates on the issue of an alleged assault on one of the advocates at Tirupur bus stand last week.It is learnt that a group of bus crew, public and a women Sub-Inspector assaulted the advocate over a wordy duel.The Tirupur advocates have been on a warpath for the last one week demanding action against the police officer.The meeting of the Bar Association decided to abstain from court on Monday to express solidarity with their Tirupur counterparts and to press for action against the police officer.
