Insurance scheme for weavers
A new insurance scheme has been introduced for handloom weavers by Central and State Governments through ICICI Lombard. Weavers can get insurance cover for themselves, their spouse and children.To be eligible for the scheme, 50 per cent of their income should come from weaving.
