Regional level philatelic quiz held
The team from Sachithananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mettupalayam, which emerged winners, receiving the prize from K.V. Sundar Rajan, Postmaster General, Western Region, in Coimbatore.Sachithananda Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Mettupalayam, emerged winners of the regional level philatelic quiz held here recently.The team of V. Sivanandhan, Sai Sri Sathya and G. Karthikeyan from Sachithananda, beat nine teams to bag the first place in the quiz that was based on philately and post office.According to a release from the Department of Posts, nearly 30 students of Standard XI and XII participated in the quiz.R. Soundaarrajan was the quiz master.K.V. Sundar Rajan, Postmaster General, Western Region, gave away the prizes.The winners will participate in the State-level quiz to be held in Chennai shortly.The runners-up are G. Dhashrath, J. Vishnu and S. Gokula Krishnan from PKD Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Pollachi.
