Soil health management is the key to sustainable agriculture and the unhealthy soil,devoid of nutrients will have a deleterious effect on agricultural growth, said C Ramasamy,Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.He was delivering the inaugural address at a threeday training in Soil Health Management here on Tuesday. The soil becomes deficient in micro-nutrients due to continuous usage of major nutrients.For instance, Zinc deficiency in Indian soils is to the tune of 58 percent. Similarly, copper, sulphur, boron, manganese and other vital micro-nutrients are also found less in the soil.
