Various contests to mark the 60th Independence Day
The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan of Coimbatore district along with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, will organise various contests to mark the 60th Independence Day and Gandhi Jayanthi.According to a release, the contest is open for the members of the scheme, public including school students and the staff working for the implementation of the scheme.
The contests would be based on the ideologies of Gandhiji and his role in the freedom struggle.Students in high school and higher secondary could participate in the essay competition. The topic would be “Importance of Literacy in Gandhiji’s View.” The essay, not exceeding three pages, should be sent through the head of the institution to the District Education Officer. A painting contest on the same theme would be organised for the general public. The staff and members of the scheme could write 10 slogans on the importance of the developing education scheme.The entries should reach the scheme office on or before October 10.
