Sharanalayam, a rehabilitation home for orphaned children at Kinathukadavu, has been donated a new vehicle by the Rotary Club of Metropolis and the Chairman of Eldec, S.Satish.The vehicle would be used as transportation for the children of Sharanalayam to their school, which is 1.5 km away from the home, a release said. It would also be utilised for purchasing provisions for the home and picking up destitute people. N. Vanitha, chairperson of Sharanalayam, said that the number of people at the centre was increasing day by day and they received calls even at night.
