The Hindu Young World Painting Competition will be held on November 25.Those interested can send in their drawings along with wrappers of BooProoo liquid-filled Bubble Gum for the preliminary round on or before November 1 to the Assistant Regional General Manager (Circulation), The Hindu, 19, 20 ATT Colony, LIC Road, Coimbatore-18. The categories are: juniors – from Standards IV to VII and seniors – from Standards VIII to X.There is no entry fee or form to be filled in for the participating in the competition.The topics for the preliminary round for the junior category are ‘You and your computer,’ ‘At the swimming pool,’ ‘Visit to a flower garden’ and ‘Kite-flying at the beach.’For the senior category the topics are ‘Boat ride in a river,’ ‘Train crossing a bridge,’ ‘Inside a harbour’ and ‘Helping the handicapped.’Those who are selected for the finals will be sent individual letters containing the details about the venue of the painting competition and the timing.
