‘World of Women’ expo from November 2 to 4
Morals Event Management Services will conduct ‘World of Women’ expo from November 2 to 4 at the Suguna Kalyana Mandapam. Speaking to presspersons here on Friday, the Director of the firm, Nandini Murugan, said the expo would cover education, recruitment, healthcare, and entertainment sectors. “This exhibition aims to look beyond just clothes and food,” she added.The fair that would be inaugurated by Minister of State for Social Justice and Women’s Empowerment Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan, would have 75 stalls.
It would collect resumes and create a database of sorts. After the expo, it would try for suitable placements for the candidates. Pressing health concerns of women such as diabetes, mental health problems, infertility and cancer would be addressed by medical experts.These interactive sessions would provide opportunities for women to clear their doubts on these health issues. A food safety awareness programme would also be held as part of this.To add a Deepavali flavour to the fair, sweet making competitions too would be held. Cultural programmes by a woman artistes group from Dindigul would be organised. All stalls would offer special discounts for all purchases.
On the first day, 10 women who have excelled in their chosen areas of activity would be felicitated. Saroja Prabhakaran, vice-chancellor of Avinashilingam University, K. Hemalatha, Airport Director, Coimbatore, Mridubashini Govindarajan, Medical Director, Women’s Centre, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore, Shabeena Banu, Power Lifting Champion, Muthulakshmi Viswanathan, Managing Director, Vikram ENT Hospital, K.M. Ramathal, Chairperson, Tamil Nadu State Commission for Women, Chennai, Vyshnavi Annush, SPM Limited, Coimbatore, D. Shanmugha Priya, Assistant Commissioner of Police, East, Law and Order, Coimbatore city and Kalpana Gopalakrishnan, Senior Manager, BPO Operations, KGISL, Coimbatore, would be honoured.
