The Coimbatore City Police on Sunday removed 57 Congress youth wing cadre when they attempted to stage a road block on Tiruchi Road near Singanallur police station condemning the attack on the State Congress Youth Wing president Mayura Jayakumar.Following reports about attack on the youth wing president (who hails from Coimbatore) at the Congress party office in Chennai, the cadre assembled near the police station demanded their arrest. Even as tense moments were building up following a road block, a stone was pelted on a State Transport Corporation town bus thus smashing its wind screens.The police removed the agitators and cases were registered against them.
