Kanoos Group eyes Coimbatore
The $500 million Kanoos Group will invest Rs 200 crore in hospitality projects in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the next two years. Group chairman K S Khader Pillai said that the group was planning to set up four-star hotels in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu.The group expected that the projects could be completed in two years. While places were identified in Kochi and Coimbatore for the hotels, land was being looked for the Thiruvananthapuram project. The group is already running a hotel at Palakkad and the latest addition is Kanoos Residency at the East Nada in Guruvayur.Pillai said that since the hotel was located very near to the main entrance of the temple, it would be very convenient for the pilgrims. He claimed that though all facilities were provided to the guest, the tariffs were very attractive. Fares would be Rs 1800 for rooms and Rs 3,000 for suits. It has specially designed rooms for physically challenged.Pillai said that the hotel had a special team of wedding coordinators, who would take care of all arrangements for marriages. In addition to these facilities, the hotel has a business center, health club, individual safety lockers, express laundry service and round-the-clock room service and house keeping.
