MRF-MAI Indian National karting results

Coimbatore: Mumbai’s Ameya Walavalkar, representing Team Mohite’s Racing, clinched the pole in the senior segment after three rounds of qualifying in the MRF-MAI Indian National karting championship at the Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, near here, on Saturday.However, it is going to be tough for the defending champion on Sunday, as both Rayomand Banajee (Speed Rayo Racing) and Pritham Muniyappa (Team Avalanche) seem to be in good touch.

Rayomand was also the quickest in the 28hp senior Rotax class.He stopped the clock at 42.471s over a distance of 1km to take the pole followed by Muniyappa and Karan Goenka.Eight drivers qualified for the INKC juniors, 10 for the Karting Champions Trophy (KCT) and six for the cadet class final.

INKC seniors: 1. Ameya Walavalkar (Team Mohite’s Racing). 2. Rayomand Banajee (Speed Rayo Racing). 3. Pritham Muniyappa (Team Avalanche).
INKC juniors: 1. Nikhil Kashyap (Bangalore). 2. Mitra Yerawadekar (Pune). 3. Vikash Anand (Chennai).
KCT: 1. K.R Ganesh (Chennai). 2. Jatin Vora (Mumbai). 3. Arshaan Anees (Bangalore).
Cadet class: 1. Arjun Maini (Bangalore);. 2. Dhruv Mohite (Kolhapur). 3. Noah Samuel (Chennai).
Rotax: 1. Rayomand Banajee (Speed Rayo Racing). 2. Pritham Muniyappa (Team Avalanche). 3. Karan Goenka.
