Training to develop tourism
Union Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, has introduced a scheme to develop tourism by improving the standards of non-formal workers.Under this scheme, a service talent training will be provided by the State Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Thuvakkudi, Tiruchirapalli, in Coimbatore on November 26 and 27.
According to an institute release, the training to be held at Hotel Tamil Nadu will cater to those working in roadside stalls, restaurants and lodges.Those who have completed 18 years and interested in undergoing the training, can collect the applications from Tourism Officer, or Coimbatore Hotels’ Association. Completed applications have to be submitted after endorsement (on photograph) from mentioned authorities.Candidates will be given free food and Rs.100 during the training. They will be taught the intricacies of the hospitality industry.Last date for submission of completed applications will be November 25.
