Coimbatore: The Indian Air Force has invited applications from those born between January 1, 1987 and March 31, 1991 in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry to the post of Air Warriors. A recruitment rally will be conducted at Air Force Station, Avadi, Chennai, on January 18 for Group Y category and on January 20 for Group X category.Candidates in the Group Y (Non-Technical Trades) category should have passed intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate with Science/Arts or Commerce as subjects. Candidates in the Group X (Technical Trades) category should have passed intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent examination with mathematics and physics with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate or should have passed a three year diploma course in engineering (mechanical, electronics, electrical, automobile, computer science, instrumentation technology, information technology) with at least 50 per cent marks from any Government-recognised polytechnic institute. Candidates should report at the Air Force Station between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. along with certificates and photos.
