The Bharatgas distributors through Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) donated an imported latest state-of-the-art breath analyser to the Coimbatore City Police for supplementing the efforts of the police in ensuring road safety.The City Police already have a few breath analysers for conducting checks to curb drunken driving. Given the growing vehicle population and the number of arterial and feeder roads in the City, the police required more breath analysers for conducting vehicle checks.At the function on Monday, the City Police Commissioner, C.K. Gandhirajan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), S. Manoharan received the breath analyser from the Regional LPG Manager, Kurian P. Chandy and Bharatgas distributors along with Territory Manager of LPG, BPCL-Coimbatore, S. Thangavel and Pradeep Nair, Territory Co-ordinator of Bharatgas.
