Bank officials talking to home loan aspirants at the property fair.Corporation Bank’s “Concrete Concept – Build Expo 2007”, which is on at Smt. Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre here till December 9, is a bonanza for all those planning to own a property or a vehicle.With nearly 80 stalls, the exhibition has builders, automobile dealers and also counters on legal counselling and vaasthu. Interior and exterior decorating articles and construction materials such as tiles and glass are also displayed. Leading builders have displayed a number of housing projects in the city at the fair. S. Pattabiraman, the Deputy General Manager of the Bank for Coimbatore Zone, has said in a release that the bank offered a festival bonanza to its customers who avail themselves of housing or vehicle loan till December 31. It was extending a concession of 0.50 per cent in interest rate and 50 per cent in processing charges during this period. The concession would be offered to the visitors at the fair too and they should bring with them proof of income to get on the spot in-principle sanction.Mr. Pattabiraman said the Coimbatore Zone of the bank covered 13 districts of the State and had 47 branches, three extension counters and 43 ATMs. It had three specialised branches – Industrial Finance Branch and Agriculture Finance Branch in Coimbatore and an SME branch at Tirupur.The bank proposed to open 14 more branches and five more ATMs in the zone during this financial year.The bank had adopted the hub model and set up retail hubs in Coimbatore and Madurai.
