The consumer fair at Padmavathi Ammal Cultural Centre in Coimbatore has a wide range of products and loan offers.Homex 2007, organised by Innovative Trade Fairs, at the Padmavathy Ammal Cultural Centre is everything what a trade fair should be. It is a mixed bag of appliances for home needs.Electronic goods, furniture and furnishings, materials for interior designing, water purifiers, garments, crockery and cookware, all at attractive discounts, are on display.Induction cookers (electronic stove) and cooking ranges are available from Rs. 3,300 upwards.

Most of the stalls selling electrical appliances have stocked these cookers, which seem to be of great demand. Compared with LPG, it can save 40 per cent expenses, K.Mohan, partner of Premier Marketing.Prestige Smart Kitchen has a variety of offers for pressure cookers, electric kettles and cooking ranges.Modular kitchens which are the order of the day are available in varied designs. One can place orders and discounts of up to 10 per cent are offered by certain companies.This time around investment solutions are also part of the fair. Asset management companies, nationalised and private banks, mutual funds, vehicle loans, consumer loans, property developers and real estates are some of the participants.Garment stalls from Tirupur and Karur are added attractions. T-shirts from One’ly are for sale for 10 per cent discount.


Leather bags, kitchen sinks, instant water heaters, mosquito nets and foot wear, fashion and automobile accessories, security systems and education compact discs for children too are available here.A special stall selling ‘Vaasthu Shastra’ materials is attracting a lot of attention.Wind chimes, laughing Buddhas and dainty good-luck charms have been displayed.The fair has 100 stalls set up by companies from both Coimbatore and its surrounding areas. A north-Indian food festival will add flavour to the fair.
