Mementos to the trainers
City Police Commissioner C.K. Gandhirajan presents mementos to the trainers of police dogs.As many as five canine sleuths from five police district units underwent a 15-day refresher training at the kennel training centre of the Coimbatore City.The City Police Commissioner, C.K. Gandhirajan, took part in an informal function organised for marking the completion of the training and appreciated the canine sleuths and their handlers.The kennel training centre has been training canine sleuths in tracking criminals and sniffing explosives and narcotic substances.The dogs were made to go through a drill every day morning and evening on obeying the commands besides physical work out.Training was imparted by the handlers of the canine sleuths in Coimbatore City Police led by Sub-Inspector Manian. So far 26 police dogs were given training in three batches.
