Mint plans 100 Cr invetment in Coimbatore
Mint Homes, a US-based real estate development and construction group promoted by an NRI, plans to invest around Rs 100 crore in Coimbatore’s realty market. The investment, funded solely through the promoter’s funds, will flow over a span of two years. Mint Homes hopes to develop high-end residential and hospitality projects in Coimbatore. It has already started construction work for an integrated high class housing complex on a 2.7 acre plot at Sowripalayam.To be launched next month, the project will offer 136 residential units, according to a statement by Mint Home.In addition, the company is looking at developing townships over 250 acres, in tier-II cities like Coimbatore and Mysore, Mr Raj Natarajan, director, Mint Homes told a press conference in Coimbatore on Tuesday. “Our projects will lay emphasis on quality construction, classic design and provision of essential amenities. Our projects will also come with material and workmanship warranty extending from 2-10 years,” he said. The company initially shortlisted eight cities, but zeroed in on Coimbatore due to its ranking in terms of large scope for infrastructure development, availability of educational and healthcare institutions. “Besides housing projects, we will establish resorts, promote ecotourism and set up integrated organic farms,” Natarajan said.
