Krishna Sweets @ Limca Book of Records

The Assistant Editor of Limca Book of World Records, V.V.R. Moorthy, handed over the award to M.Krishnan, Chairman and Managing Director of Sri Krishna Sweets on Saturday.“We have got lots of records on laddoos, but this is the first of its kind for mysurpa. It is the shortest time taken for producing 17.5 tonnes of mysurpa and despatching it to the corporate sector,” Mr.Moorthy said.A total of 19,900 boxes (4,20,000 pieces) were delivered to Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchi.The boxes were despatched to the company’s offices at both Chennai and Tiruchi.

Receiving the award, Mr.Krishnan, said it was not just ghee, sugar and gram flour that went into the sweets. It was also the dedication and sincerity of the workers that added value to the product. “I have not even visited the kitchen once. That is the amount of trust I have in my employees,” he said.“We did our usual work.Sometimes during Deepavali, we have even produced 100 tonnes,” he added. C.K.Gandhirajan, Commissioner of Police and Pradeep Kumar, Founder of Elite Charitable Trust, participated.
