Nano towels soon from Coimbatore
Marutham Hi-Power Trading here plans to foray into home textiles by producing bed linen, towels and bath robes.A release from the company said these would be launched as “Light Luxury” series of products and would target the needs of the hospitality and aviation sectors.The nano towels would be made using 60 per cent cotton yarn and 40 per cent un-spun cotton.The company has established shuttleless looms and electronic jacquards. Initially it would produce about one tonne of fabric a day.
It would also outsource fabric from the weaving units in the nearby places such as Somanur and Avinashi.However, designing would be done at its plant on Avinashi road. Apart from the major corporates the company would also supply to retail customers. The products would be launched in a couple of months.The company planned to foray into business process outsourcing and energy generation from non-conventional energy sources too.
