A prayer meeting organised at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Coimbatore.Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi and all the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the Nation in connection with Martyrs’ Day and Sarvodaya Day celebrations.Students read out a few passages from Gandhiji’s My Experiments with Truth. A pledge emphasising the principles of truth and non-violence was administered. Students sang bhajans and observed a two-minute silence followed by a floral tribute to the Mahatma. B.K. Krishnaraj Vanavarayar, chairman of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Coimbatore Kendra, attended the programme.
