The well-known spiritual Guru from Coimbatore, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev of Isha Foundation, was felicitated at a function jointly organised by Rotary Mysore and Vijay Foundation at Hotel Regaalis in city last evening which was witnessed by a large gathering.The felicitation function was organised on his being invited as a guest speaker to participate in the World Economic Forum at Davos in Switzerland for the third consecutive year. Addressing a press meet at Hotel Regaalis here last evening before the felicitation function, the Sadhguru said the country was passing through a tumultuous period of time with umpteen confrontations. However, with the available potential, the country can create wonders. The achievement could be beyond anyone's expectations. The country can indeed become invincible in all fields.This was the future of the country as predicted by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who observed that India was recognised and respected by the world community today like never before. It had acquired a top slot in the Science sector. The country with a population of over one billion needed lot of attention on education, health and civic amenities. That could bring in revolutionary changes.
The country, though at the end of a troublesome period, can churn out miracles with a little bit of effort and involvement. The other way could be disastrous. Everything would be decided in the next ten or twelve years, of course, with a determined combined effort, he predicted."To explain the external features of anything there is Science and technology. There is also Science to explain the inner-self in ourselves which is defined through respiration that controls every movement of us. Isha Foundation explains this feature to everyone. That is the concept of spiritual knowledge, he said.
Spirituality is neither a belief nor attached to any religion. The Foundation is attempting to explain to the whole world that spirituality is a Science. The country is secular and people worship several deities of both genders, viewed through trees, stones and animals. Offering puja is open everywhere with no restrictions on belief, explained Jaggi Vasudev on the Indian Spiritual Vision.About 25 years ago dreams were hard to be achieved but it was not the case now. Everything can be materialised. Hence, the need of the hour was concentrated effort to strengthen the economic situation of the country. This growth would eventually follow, explained the Guruji, by bringing spirituality and economics together.
With total concern for environment, Isha Foundation aimed to plant about 25 million saplings and enter the Guinness Records. It had already created a record by planting the highest number of saplings in a day. The motto of the Foundation was unique and innovative which blended spirituality, economics and environment, said the Guruji.Earlier Star of Mysore Editor K.B.
