2 Workers Killed By Fire
Two workers killed in a fire accident on Wednesday at a building that housed two export firms dealing with textiles and apparels. According to the police, smoke was noticed in 2 storeyed building at AKS Nagar in Ponniahrajapuram, near Thadagam Road
Public, police, fire and rescue services personnel battled for more than two hours to put out the fire. A family who was staying in one portion of the building escaped unhurt. Rescue teams found C. Nagarajan (27) and his brother C. Nagendran (22) from Oddanchatiram in Dindigul dead inside the building. The death is suspected due to burns and asphyxiation. The loss is estimated to be heavy.
