Indian Society of Weed Science Fellowship Award
C. Chinnusamy, Professor, Agronomy, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, has been conferred the Indian Society of Weed Science Fellowship for 2007-08.According to a university release, Mr. Chinnusamy was conferred the fellowship for his contribution in weed science research. His work included weed management for sugarcane, major pulses, drum seed and aerobic rice and for problematic and parasitic weeds. He is a recipient of many awards and is the author of three books and published research papers
He is leading the All India Coordinated Programme on Weed Control of the university as principal investigator. He is a recipient of many awards and is the author of three books and published research papers.He received the fellowship from N.L. Maurya, Vice-Chancellor, Rajendra Agricultural University, Bihar.
